- Summary
- Informational video on the value and relevance of archival materials. The video, which consists of still photographs accompanied by narration and music, depicts three examples of present-day problems that were solved through research into the past. The discussion of archivist Michael Scherker's work for the Dance Theatre of Harlem does not focus on a specific problem, but examines some of the ways in which a dance company and its audience can be served by archival documents (including videotapes as well as records on paper).
