Topics include: her approach to dance as an ethnologist and her study of The nutcracker as a cultural tradition and ritual in 20th-century America ; ballet as a means of female empowerment despite the feminist backlash against it ; similarities between ballet and religious practice.

Topics include: balancing motherhood and a professional career with Gloria Newman's company ; the formation of her own company [Alleluia Dance Theater], which combines prayer and dance ; organizing retreats for non-dancers ; plans and dreams for the future.
