Summary
To mark their debut as performers in The show goes on, a revue of their songs, lyricist Tom Jones and composer Harvey Schmidt discuss their long collaboration with Theater talk's co-hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. Much of the talk is devoted to The fantasticks, the longest-running production in American theatre history, but Mr. Jones and Mr. Schmidt also reminisce about working with Mary Martin, Robert Preston, and Gower Champion in the original 1966 production of I do! I do!
