Summary
Instruction in adornment for the Argentine tango. Adornment is defined on tape as "a movement or a step which is added to a series of movements without disturbing the original series," and can be performed by the woman or the man. In an interview beginning at ca. 91 min. into the tape, Olga Besio discusses the long tradition of adornment in the tango and milonga, and the qualities of creativity, decoration and playfulness that it adds to the dance. She and her partner Gustavo Naveira are seen performing in clubs at the opening and close of the program.
