Summary
In this program, children of desperately poor Mexican families share stories of their hardships and the choices they have made. For some. childhood means heavy labor as migrant workers in northern Mexico, while for others it means gang life on the streets of Tijuana. Yet for all economic refugees, for whom dollars are more valuable than education, the dream of life in America is like a vision of the promised land.
