- "Simple harmonic motions was made by Inge Bruggeman of INK-A! Press in 2001. It is based on poems written by Hank Lazer that are a part of his larger body of work, Days ... Typeface used for the poems is Spectrum and the Morse Code font was created by Bill Morrison (this text repeats 'the visual cadence of words on the page'). Both text and image are printed from photopolymer plates that are hand-processed by the bookmaker except for the soundwave images which are photocopy transfers. The book rests in a case which holds a compact disc of the author reading the poems and performing them with the Alabama Poetry Ensemble"--Colophon, on portfolio interior.
- Printed on both sides of a double-layered strip (26 x 288 cm.) formed from 8 sheets of light green Kitikata paper joined end to end and folded in the middle, then folded accordion style.
- On recto of strip: Poems no. 5-6, 54-55, 64, 72, 128 and 194 from Lazer's Days. On verso: The same texts blurred and printed in reverse, with Morse code interpretations (written out as "dah di-di-di-dit dit," etc.) and illustrative matter.
- Accompanied by compact disc, housed in a pocket inside portfolio. Title on disc: Hank Lazer reads and performs with the Alabama Poetry Ensemble. Disc recorded by Jake Berry; Wayne Sides, percussion, Jake Berry, guitar.
