- Informational videotape on the National Initiative to Preserve America's Dance (NIPAD). The program provides an overview of the organization's activities since its inception in 1993, with specific examples of a few of the many projects it has funded, including Sharon Kinney's documentary on Tina Croll and James Cunningham's dance work From the horse's mouth ; educational facilities at Jacob's Pillow ; the re-creation and documentation of Meredith Monk's Education of the girlchild by House Foundation for the Arts ; and the Ohio State University Research Foundation's multimedia database prototype documenting Bebe Miller's Going to the wall. The interviewees discuss the importance of preservation, documentation and education both to the dance community and to a wider public. The range and diversity of dance in 20th century America are illustrated through a wide assortment of film and video clips, which are listed in the end credits.
