Summary
Instructional videotape for children. Jamey Leverett explains how a dancer uses the barre and mirror in the dance studio, then teaches a do-along class consisting of basic barre exercises (pliés, tendus, dégagés, and stretches) and the five basic positions. She teaches the balancé step and port de bras used in the snowflake scene of The nutcracker, tells the story of The nutcracker, and invites the viewer to dance along with footage of the snowflake scene shot from a dancer's point of view.
