- Symposium. The African Heritage in American Culture. Chuck Davis, Leonard Goines, and Bernice Reagon. 4/21/83. [Recording begins mid-sentence.] Introduction of speakers; Reagon (ca. 24 minutes) speaks in general terms about contributions of African culture to African American culture; Goines (ca. 25 minutes) speaks about African arts, including music and dance; Davis (ca. 15 minutes) speaks about the importing of African movement and ritual into African American culture; question and answer session (ca. 5 minutes; mainly inaudible).
