Summary

Dance work for children, set to music by Beatrice Rainer, and based on characters created by the writer-illustrator Gelett Burgess in Goops and how to be them (1900), a collection of poems on etiquette for children. The first 5 min. of this tape appears to consist of excerpts, possibly filmed in different locations. The second segment (ca. 9 min.), which begins with a glimpse of the maypole dance performed as the Merry-Go-Rounders' opening and closing, contains a complete performance of the piece.
