- Summary
- Official videotape of the event. Scenes from an intertribal Native American powwow, taped on two days. Following each day's grand entry are dance competitions in various categories (see below). Also performed are an interactive hoop dance by the brothers Vincent Davis and Derrick Davis, and a gourd dance. The program also includes the awards ceremony of the Miss Indian World contest, as well as brief interviews with powwow organizers, participants (dancers, musicians, judges), vendors from the associated Indian Traders Market, and observers, among them Elaine Miles (an actor in the television series Northern exposure) and Otakuye Conroy (an actor in the film Dances with wolves). A list of winners in the various categories appears at the end of the program.
