Summary
Compilation of footage of a five-hour open-air dance/theater event, and a stage work utilizing videotapes of the event. At the beginning of this tape, and after the performers' lunch break, choreographer-director Richard Bull gives directions to the performers. The work's subtitle, "A utilitarian dance event," refers to the painting of the barn in Bull's back yard, which was accomplished in the course of the event. The stage work (which is about 20 min. long) appears in two segments on this tape, the first beginning at ca. 26 min. into the tape, the second at 88 min. into the tape.
