Summary
Video tribute to Mary Starks Whitehouse (1911-1979) in recognition of her significant contributions to the field of dance therapy. In a b&w video shot at a workshop at Lone Mountain College, San Francisco, in 1978, she is seen in action, teaching a group of students. The interviewees, who were her students, associates, and friends, discuss her teaching and theories, and reminisce about her personal qualities, particularly the courage that sustained her through an immobilizing illness.
