[Begins abruptly.] Pinska speaks about how she came to study with Ruth St. Denis; reminiscences regarding the Denishawn School of Dancing; Ruth St. Denis's manner of teaching; religion and St. Denis's work; Pinska's personal relationship with St. Denis; Martha Graham's admiration of St. Denis; a typical barre at Denishawn; Pinska's personal and professional relationship with Ted Shawn; life at the Denishawn School at the time of its financial difficulties and dissolution; reminiscences of St. Denis in Los Angeles after World War II; reasons Pinska saw herself as not suited to be a Denishawn dancer; problems with restaging Denishawn dances; thoughts on Isadora Duncan; Martha Graham and the Greenwich Village follies.
