- Costume rendering for George Balanchine's Mozart violin concerto [possibly Third movement: twilight], premiered August 7, 1942 by Ballet of the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
- Depicted are two female figures on pointe holding long trumpets. Right figure is turned slightly to her right, her face in profile. Left figure faces to the back. They wear dark red and blue tutus and head-pieces, with long red gloves, accented by jeweled trim. In lower left corner is a small pencil sketch of a long gown.
- Handwritten on verso: "Concerto by Mozart, choreographie by G. Balanchine, August 1942, Theatre Colon, Buenos Aires."
- Formerly framed. Written on verso of frame: "See Young Collectors, MOMA 1954. Costume design for 'Concerto' Buenos Aires 1942 (?). De-acidified Carolyn Horton, Sept. '74. Rag-matted for protection, F.A.R."
