- Summary
- Ballet in three acts, with prologue and epilogue. This recording may have been acquired by or for Rudolf Nureyev for study purposes. He first staged the pas de deux from Le corsaire (performed in this version as a pas de trois) for himself and Margot Fonteyn in 1962. At the time of this performance he was artistic director of the Paris Opéra Ballet, and may have been contemplating a staging of the full ballet for that company.
