- Summary
- Sarita Allen and Michihiko Oka, members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (then appearing at Boston's Metropolitan Theater), dance the "Giggling rapids" section of Ailey's The river, set to music by Duke Ellington. Following this performance, recorded in the television studio, they discuss in an interview the challenges of a dancer's life and the differences between ballet and modern dance. This recording also contains an additional 3 min. from the program, in which the female host describes the program's future guests.
