- "In this paper, I follow Clifford (1994) to contextualize ethnography as a means of studying culture as travel. I am particularly interested in how one dance form, tango, evolves as a result of its travel in the globalized world. I meet tango in three cultural spheres (Argentina, Finland, and New Zealand) through literature, film and personal experience. Through my travels in these cultural spheres, tango emerges as a constantly constituted and renewed cultural form juxtaposed by different influences as it journeys the global world and is recreated through my everyday practices as a contemporary tango consumer."--p. 207.
