According to the program note by Eiko and Koma, "Offering is a 'living' installation that lasts at each site from one to three hours. Audience members are invited to come and go as they please and to circumnavigate the performance area at will so as to experience the work from different vantage points." The work was slated to be performed at six locations in Manhattan and seven in New England.
