Consists of pictorial t.p., hand-lettered table of contents and 36 full-length character portraits illustrating Tom Tiddler's ground, Somebody's luggage, Mrs. Lirriper's lodgings, Mrs. Lirriper's legacy, Doctor Marigold's prescriptions and Mugby Junction, by Dickens and others, originally published as The extra Christmas number of All the year round for 1861-1866 (respectively), and "Going into society," by Dickens, from A house to let, originally published as The extra Christmas number of Household words for 1858.
Each drawing signed "Kyd" in red ink, with caption, giving name of character and related story, in red ink.
