Summary
Rehearsal of three character dances from Act III of Rudolf Nureyev's version of Swan lake. A run-through of the Spanish dance is followed by a more intensive rehearsal of the mazurka (ca. 18 min.), with many repetitions; at one point Nureyev himself demonstrates a movement. The tape concludes with a rehearsal of the Neapolitan dance. Nureyev is occasionally glimpsed, and his voice can be heard from off-camera, counting in English. French-speaking voices are also audible from off-camera.
