- Summary
- Barry Primus, Leonard Frey and James Preston, members of the American Theatre Laboratory, answer questions posed by Robbins and a second interviewer about their profession, reading habits, influences on their lives, and feelings about their place in society. Jerome Robbins discusses his own feelings anout money and how it has changed his life. Robbins and the actors discuss the questionnaire and what they've learned from it. For the beginning of this session, see *MGZIA 4-6271. After the discussion, Primus and Preston perform an improvisational exercise in which Primus leads Preston through the activities of a busboy.

- American Theatre Laboratory was created in 1966 by Jerome Robbins, with a $300,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The experimental theater workshop rehearsed several projects and created many exercises, but did not produce any shows. American Theatre Laboratory disbanded in 1968.
