Summary
Robbins works with Morton Gould on the music for Variations on I'm old fashioned. Gould talks about the difficulties of artistic collaboration, and his own willingness to change his compositions. He plays one of the variations on the piano while Robbins runs a videotape of a New York City Ballet studio rehearsal (see *MGZIA 4-6050) of a pas de deux by Christopher D'Amboise and Darci Kistler that was cut from the final version of the ballet. At the end of the tape Gould prepares to play a new variation he has composed. He plays the variation on *MGZIA 4-6156.
