- Cassette 1, 5/20/02 (ca. 90 min.). Ms. Harrison discusses her background in the performing arts and first coming into contact with Meredith Monk; how Harrison and her husband Collin Walcott became involved with Monk and began working with her; her first tour with Monk; the integration of teaching and performing in her life; the development and preparation for the piece Vessel; performing Vessel; describes the piece and its various performance venues in detail; the rehearsal process; the creative relationships and socializing of that period; the first European tour; her particular place in Monk's work; the structure of Monk's collaboration with other artists and the different contributions that various members of the group have made; the development of Monk's work over time.
