Summary
Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Bart Cook, directs a rehearsal of The cage. The adagio pas de deux is rehearsed by Heather Watts and Kipling Houston, and at the back of the studio by Wendy Whelan and Brian Reeder. Watts and Whelan simultaneously rehearse the Novice's opening solo. There are many interruptions and repetitions; Robbins discusses and demonstrates choreography for the dancers.
