Summary

Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Jean-Pierre Frohlich, directs a rehearsal of Watermill. First the spring section, from the Youth's entrance through the runners, is rehearsed. There are several repetitions of the running section. The nightmare sequence (summer) is rehearsed, with extensive discussion of the music and timing of the choreography. Lastly the fall section and the end of the ballet are rehearsed. Robbins gives corrections and demonstrates choreography.
