Summary
Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet masters Jean-Pierre Frohlich and Victor Castelli, directs a rehearsal of Watermill. Edward Villella, who danced the main role in Watermill, is not present in this rehearsal. At different points, Robbins, Castelli and Frohlich perform his role. The spring section of Watermill is rehearsed, from the Youth's entrance through the runners. The pas de deux in the summer section is rehearsed by both Diana White and Brian Reeder, and by Simone Schumacher and Gordon Stevens. Lastly, the finale of the ballet is rehearsed. Throughout the rehearsal, Robbins discusses and demonstrates choreography.
