Summary
Open air performance following the final DanceAfrica Festival performance in the opera house. The program begins with the blessing of a child, led by Baba Kwame Ishangi. African dances accompanied by drumming are performed by several children's groups, including the BAM/Restoration Festival Dancers (among them students of Robin Gee and Esther Grant-Walker). A female vocalist, backed by drummers, accompanies the dances of a group from Haiti.
