Summary

In a telephone interview in which only Jerome Robbins' side of the conversation is recorded, Robbins discusses the theft and eventual recovery of his dog Nick in 1973. Robbins discusses receiving the dog as a birthday present; the dog's temperament and his feelings for him; the circumstances of the dog's disappearance; his efforts to find the dog, including placing notices with a photo in New York City Ballet programs at the New York State Theater; the publicity generated by the event and his recovery of the dog several weeks later from an ex-prize fighter named One-Eyed Charlie [ends abruptly]. Remaining (ca. 2 min.) of recording contains an unidentified excerpt from a live theatrical performance.
