- Biography
- Hilda Simms (1918-1994), actress, was best known for playing the title role in the American Negro Theatre production of "Anna Lucasta" that moved successfully to Broadway in 1944. Her acting career, which continued on stage into the 1970s, also included film, television and radio broadcasts during the 1950s and 1960s. She also worked for creative arts and drug treatment programs in New York during the 1960s and 1970s.
