The New York Shakespeare Festival's Shakespeare Marathon, in which the entire canon will be performed in six years is discussed. Brief segment from interview with producer Joseph Papp about the casting of American film actors in the Shakespeare Marathon. Brief segments from interviews with actors Martin Sheen and Christopher Walken. Brief performance footage from A chorus line; Julius Caesar with Al Pacino (Marcus Antonius) and Martin Sheen (Brutus); and A midsummer night's dream with F. Murray Abraham (Bottom) and Elizabeth McGovern (Helena).
