Mullman, Abi Stafford, Janie Taylor; voices performed by Kelly Sheridan (Barbie/Clara), Kirby Morrow (Nutcracker/Prince Eric), Tim Curry (Mouse King), Peter Kelamis (Pimm), Christopher Gaze (Major Mint), Ian James Corlett (Captain Candy), French Tickner (Grandfather Drosselmayer), Kathleen Barr (Aunt Drosselmayer/owl), Alex Doduk (Tommy), Chantal Strand (Kelly), Britt McKillip (Peppermint Girl), Danny McKinnon (Gingerbread Boy), and others; music played by the London Symphony Orchestra. Animated film; dramatic adaptation loosely based on the plot of the Nutcracker ballet, opening and closing with scenes of Barbie and a little girl (Kelly) practicing in a dance studio. Other dance scenes are: the waltz of the snow faeries, the waltz of the flower faeries, a duet by the Peppermint Girl and Gingerbread Boy, a duet by Major Mint and Captain Candy, and the adagio of the grand pas de deux, danced by Barbie and Prince Eric.

Documentary on the School of American Ballet, the official school of the New York City Ballet, as told by four aspiring dancers and two adult dancers. Giving a picture of a dance student's life, they discuss their dance classes, schoolwork, family life, performing experiences, and dreams of careers in ballet.
