Summary
Entrant in the Dance Films Association's 31st annual Dance on Camera Festival 2003. Documentary on Argentine tango aficionados in New York City, who describe in their own words their experiences in this special subculture. The program visits various schools that offer instruction in the Argentine tango, milonga, and Argentine waltz, as well as places to put lessons into practice. Exhibition-level dancers are glimpsed at demonstrations and performances. The many interviewees, identified only by their first names, discuss their expectations and hopes, various problems they confront on the dance floor, and their continuing fascination with the dance.
