Summary
  • Artist's book, inspired by the most popular government-endorsed Soviet-era cookbook of the same title, first published in 1939. The illustrations are based on those in the original and adapted from nutrition posters from the 1970s.
  • Title page and text on p. [3] and [5-10] printed in black within illustrated lithographed borders printed in orange; followed by double-page lithograph on recto of folded leaf (p. [11]). Pages [13-28] are on sheets of primed canvas and contain, on rectos, 8 full-page color lithographs with hand additions in acrylic; on versos, lithographed text reproduced from handwriting.
