Brief segments from interviews with director Lee Kenneth Richardson, playwright George C. Wolfe, and cast members Loretta Devine, Tommy Hollis, Reggie Montgomery, Vickilyn Reynolds, and Danitra Vance. Includes rehearsal footage, particularly of the scene The hairpiece.
- Segment two: Channel 2 news at six, aired CBS, September 29, 1986, 5:00 p.m. Time capsule segment recaps the record-breaking performance of A chorus line three years earlier. Includes performance footage of the musical number One (Reprise).
- Segment three: Name of show and airdate unknown. Aired on New York Telephone corporate television. Coverage of the party at the Central Park boathouse celebrating the 30th anniversary party of free Shakespeare in Central Park. Conceived by composer/conductor Leonard Bernstein, the benefit raised money for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Includes performance footage of the benefit.
- Segment eleven: Do not enter: the visa war against ideas, aired Channel 13, January 6, 1987, 11:00 p.m. Segment from the documentary on the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, which allowed foreigners to be denied visas to the United States if they were considered "prejudicial to the public interest." This segment focuses on the playwrights Dario Fo and Franca Rame and mentions that Fo was denied a visa in 1982 when he was scheduled to perform at the New York Shakespeare Festival.
