- Summary
- Unedited footage of musical numbers from the 1988 edition of Forbidden Broadway, an annual satirical revue by Gerard Alessandrini. The songs, some of which are performed repeatedly, were videotaped before a small number of spectators, presumably for an intended promotional reel or commercial. Subjects parodied include veteran performers Ethel Merman and Mary Martin, as well as such current Broadway productions as The phantom of the opera, M. Butterfly, Les miserables, and the revival of Anything goes.
