- Summary
- Theater critic Joel Siegel reviews the Off-Broadway musical The golden land, which examines the experience of Jewish immigrants coming to America at the turn of the twentieth century. The play, produced at the Second Avenue Theatre, also dramatizes the early days of Yiddish theater on New York's Lower East Side. In addition to his review, Siegel discusses the history covered by the play. Includes brief excerpts from interview with cast member Neva Small.
