Summary

Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Bart Cook, directs rehearsals of Glass pieces and Gershwin concerto. The first movement of Glass pieces is rehearsed with interruptions and repetitions, followed by a full run-through; the third movement is rehearsed up to the women's entrance; excerpts of the first movement are rehearsed by soloists only; the end of the third movement is rehearsed, followed by a full run-through. The third movement of Gershwin concerto is rehearsed with interruptions and repetitions; the tape ends abruptly during this rehearsal. Robbins gives corrections, discusses and demonstrates choreography.
