Summary
Entrant in the Dance Films Association's 32nd annual Dance on Camera Festival 2004. Documentary on the creation of Elizabeth Hoefner's master's thesis dance concert, Follow the leader, produced at the California Institute of the Arts School of Dance, and first performed on March 6, 2001. The documentary begins with the choreographer's initial ideas and movement explorations, and follows the work through auditions and various stages of rehearsal. Interviews with the choreographer and her dancers illuminate the workings of the creative process.
