Summary
John Angelo, now an interviewer on public access cable television and a popular acting teacher, looks back on his multifaceted career as an actor and dancer on stage, film, and television. He began as a dancer on Broadway and moved to Los Angeles in 1952, where he was an active participant in the heyday of the Hollywood musical. Among the memorable moments in his career were performing in the film Singin' in the rain, playing a slave in The ten commandments, and tap dancing with Ann Miller. He later performed on television, toured the country, and appeared in Las Vegas casinos. In later life he worked as a set decorator. The interview is illustrated with brief film and television clips, including the moment from Singin' in the rain when Kelly gives his umbrella to Angelo, playing a passerby; and a television dance sequence in which Angelo and Frank Sinatra form part of a male quartet surrounding Juliet Prowse.
