Discussion includes recent charges of obscenity against the rap group 2 Live Crew, which have resulted in the banning of their performances and the arrest of record store owners selling their album; the censorship of art; and whether the National Endowment for the Arts should fund controversial art work. Includes interviews with music critic Nelson George; artist Andres Serrano, who discusses his work, including his controversial piece Piss Christ, which features a crucifix immersed in a beaker of urine; and with producer/director Joseph Papp and Congressman Dana Rohrabacher who debate the NEA's role in controlling artistic expression. Includes footage of 2 Live Crew in performance.
