- Summary
- Part of The Studies Project, an ongoing series of discussions, performances, and other presentations. Panel discussion with three creative artists working in the fields of experimental theater or dance. Topics include: finding and developing ideas; surmounting creative blocks; finding and maintaining a theatrical or dance company; the collaborative process between director and performers; the evolution of a company and its repertory over the years; dealing with audience expectations; links with other artists, and their influence. Anne Bogart and Yoshiko Chuma discuss their own experiences as directors; Michael Stock (?), representing the Wooster Group, discusses the work of director Elizabeth LeCompte and the group's collaboration with guest Richard Foreman. Most of cassette 2 is devoted to a question-and-answer session with the audience.
