The binding in quarter Harmatan goatskin, with boards covered with Alcantara paper painted by Sloane Madureira, was completed by Carolyn Chadwick, with accompanying clamshell box by the printer. The illustrations are reproduced excerpts from various 17th & 18th century engravings & have been printed in watercolor paint. All work was done at Center for Book Arts, New York ... Of fifteen copies, five are proofs"--Colophon.
  • Printed in several colors, on double leaves. Type designed by Hermann Zapf.
  • The ill. are photo-etched metal cuts, printed in monochrome.
