Summary
Discussion of the challenges of producing theater works in Off-Off-Broadway theaters. The guests, representing three different theatrical venues in New York City, discuss how the their productions differ from those of the commercial theater; the difficulty of obtaining funding, drawing media attention, and attracting audiences; the support (or lack thereof) they have gained from city officials; the unreliability of box-office earnings as a means of covering expenses; the lack of assistance from their alumni, caused by the non-commercial nature of their art. They close on a more positive note by describing upcoming events at their theaters.
