Designed by Esther Smith and Dikko Faust; execited by the participants in a workshop entitled "Ink on Paper," sponsored by the Book Arts Guild of Seattle and held at a private studio in an airplane hangar at Sea-Tac.
Sheet folded into the shape of a paper airplane, with sections of alphabet used successively in telling story. Alphabets designed by: Mare Blocker (ABCD), Elsi Ellis (EFGH), Sheila Coppola (IJKL), Catherine Michaelis (MNOP), Joni Papp (QRST), Beth Dunn (UVW), Carol Chien (XYZ). Printed in purple from Bembo type.
The central airplane design was assembled from an arrangement of pied wood type. The textured background print was achieved by printing bubble-wrap at type height.
Issued in paper sleeve (8 x 16 cm.), printed in red.
