- "The body type is Monotype Bell, cast by Michael and Winifred Bixler of Skaneateles, New York. The paper is Johannot. Illustrations were printed from photopolymer plates made by Soho Letterpress of New York, New York. Robert McCamant designed the book. Martha Chiplis respaced the type and printed the book. Trisha Hammer designed and executed the binding"--Colophon.
- Binding: Publisher's red cloth boards; Coptic binding, with exposed stitching on open spine. Two additional ill. by McAdams on labels embedded in front covers. Issued in a 4-flap portfolio of red cloth over paper and gray tweed cloth boards with leather straps; designed to resembles a traveling case. A leather luggage tag stamped "Mark Twain," with an ill. by McAdams behind a plastic panel, is attached to one strap.
