- 1 videocassette (VHS, NTSC) (123 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- The ballet project showing consists of two parts. In the first part, which starts at 16 min. into the tape, guest instructor Edward Villella speaks about George Balanchine's contribution to American ballet and discusses ballet technique, while students demonstrate barre exercises. - Inside/out is a series of outdoor programs in which artists perform and discuss their choreography with audiences in an informal setting. In this program, Ann Carlson rehearses two sections of her work in progress, White. The first section, Untitled (later titled See) is rehearsed by five visually impaired dancers. The second section (This moment) is rehearsed by Carlson and Andy Kirshner. Carlson speaks about how the piece developed, and the dancers introduce themselves and describe their performance backgrounds. The recording ends abruptly.
