- Cassette 35, side A (ca. 50 min.). The recording includes Frederic Franklin's comments made in reference to selections from the correspondence files of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Franklin speaks about the artistic direction of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo including the lack of an artistic director after Leonide Massine's departure and Sergei Denham's eventual taking over of this function; the company's almost constant financial troubles after World War II; the rigorous touring schedule; his feelings about the company's close; the effect of the creation of Ballet Theatre [later, American Ballet Theatre] on the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo; the conductor Franz Allers; the dancers Leila Crabtree and Tatiana Chamié; the costume designer Barbara Karinska, including his first meeting her in Monte Carlo; the patrons Henry and Esther Clifford; the dancer Tatiana Riabouchinska; the patron Dorothy Chadwick [ends abruptly].
- Cassette 35, side B (ca. 15 min.). Franklin relates an anecdote about Donald Sadler; an anecdote about John Martin, Ruthanna Boris, and Frank Hobi; speaks about various projects for exhibitions and choreographic revivals with respect to the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and its ballets.
