Summary
Gene Feist, founding artistic director of the Roundabout Theatre Company in the 1960s, discusses his history with the company from the early 1980s onwards. The focus is on the company's financial difficulties and its reorganization that began when Feist hired business manager Todd Haimes. Feist discusses several of the Roundabout's productions during the 1980s, his work teaching Roundabout Conservatory classes and directing student productions, and his eventual departure from the organization.
