- Summary
- Veteran performer Elaine Stritch discusses her career with her sometime-collaborator John Lahr. She begins with her earliest acting experiences at a convent school, and examines the impulse that drove her to become a performer. She discusses a number of her colleagues and other show business figures she has encountered, including Tallulah Bankhead, Ethel Merman, Noel Coward, Stephen Sondheim, and Frank Sinatra. She also examines differences between the theater of her youth and the theater today.
